Grandparent day is being celebrated in the different
countries of the world. The particular day celebration start from The United States,
When Russell Capper (age 9 in 1969) referred a letter to President Nixon
suggesting a superior day be set aside as Grandparents Day. On June 12, 1969 he
received a letter back from Rose Mary Woods (Personal Secretary to the
President) saying “Dear Russell, Thank you for your letter to President Nixon.
Your suggestion regarding a Grandparent’s Day is appreciated,
The Grandparents Day is an earthly
holiday notable in various countries, occurring on many days of the year,
either as one holiday or occasionally as a separate Grandmothers' Day and
Grandfathers' Day. The purpose of celebration of this day is to appreciate the compassion
of our respected grandparent on our life.
